How cool is Guy Kawasaki? Not only has he made Apple what it is, written a million great books and funded a gazillion companies - he also answers his own email. And I've got proof, because his email arrived in my mailbox just a few short hours after I wrote to an anonymous info (at) alltop.com requesting that Alltop add Project Creative Vision to its career page. The answer was yes, and this, of course, made Guy even cooler in my eyes.
In case you missed my previous post, Alltop is Guy's latest brainchild, a single-page news aggregating site, assembling the best blogs and news sources on 40 most popular subjects on the internet. There are four things I love about Alltop so far:
- Design - simple and minimalist
- Efficiency - you can see 5 top headlines at each blog/website at a time
- Efficiency again - you can read the first several lines of each post just by floating your mouse over it, which means no unnecessary clicking or annoying browser-opening
- Um, that would be efficiency one more time - all my favorite blogs are right there, all presented in that simple, minimalist, and, uh, efficient format
And have I mentioned that we're now a part of it? So go ahead and give Alltop a try. All the best blogs are there. You may find yourself using your blog reader far less frequently.
Congrats! I haven't had much chance to check out Alltop, though I did browse through the career blogs. You are in good company, and from what I hear Guy is awesome.
